Gence Hanlığı ve Cevad Han'ın özgürlük mücadelesi

Abstract

1747 yılında Azerbaycan'da ve Güney Kafkasyada hükümranlık eden Türk sülalelerinin zayıflaması nedeniyle Azerbaycan toprakları hanlıklara parçalandı. Hanlar arasında siyasi birliğin olmaması, coğrafi konumundan dolayı Kafkasya'ya sahiplenmeye can atan Rusya için kolaylık sağladı. Gürcistan çarlığını ilga eden Rusya karşısında en büyük mani Gence hanlığı idi. Sonuçta Kafkasya'daki Rus ordularının kumandanı General Sisianov, 1803'te, Tiflis'ten hareket ederek Gence'yi kuşattı. Gence hanı Cevad Han, Ruslarla yaptığı muharebede öldürüldü. 1804'te Gence hanlığı ortadan kaldırıldı ve buranın ismi Çariçenin onuruna Yelizavetpol olarak değiştirildi. Cevad Hanın diğer oğlu Uğurlu Han, bu tarihten 22 yıl sonra Gence'yi Ruslardan geri aldı. İki yıl sonra Ruslar, Gence'yi tekrar istila ederek hanlığı tamamen ortadan kaldırdı. Komünist idare, bu kez Gence'ye, Kirovabad ismini verdi.

In the year 1747 in Azerbaijan and South Caucasia Türkish family governed with sovereignty in that area, but later due to the lost of it power the Khanates of Azerbijan fragmented into peaces. Unfortunately there was not unity and political stratagy among the khanates. Due to the Caucasion geograpical welfare and natural resources with this reasons it pushed Russia into this land for looted. Russia has occupy Georgia with this reason they tried to take-over the Ganja khanates, but they could'nt succed it. At the and, in 1803 Russia commander General Tiflis who live's in Caucasia had surrourded Ganja. The Ganja khan and Javad Khan was killed during the war with Russsia. In 1804 Ganja khanates was destroyed and the name of Ganja waschanged into princess Elizabeth. After 22 years of Russian occupation the Javad Khan son Uğur Khan recaptured and restored Ganja territory from Russia. After two yeras Russian came and destroyed Ganja of Azerbaijan. Later comminist authorities Ganja a new name called Kirovabad.
