Figür-mekan ilişkisi bağlamında fotogerçekçilik

Abstract

Varoluşundan günümüze değin mekanla sürekli bir ilişki içerisinde bulunan insan, bir yandan onu biçimlendiren özne; bir yandan da mekan tarafından dönüştürülen nesne olarak etken ve edilgen oluşumları temsil etmektedir. Sanat alanında bir bütünün ayrılmaz iki parçası olarak tanımlanabilecek figür ve mekan, temsil olarak boşluk-doluluk ilkesi bağlamında ele alınmış, figürü içine alan mekan, ayrıca figürün varoluşuna koşut olarak şekillenmiştir.Gerçeğe ulaşma çabası içinde olan insan için figür ve mekanın sanat alanındaki temsilleri, tarihsel süreçte, içinde bulunduğu sosyo-kültürel faktörler ve psikolojik etmenler nedeniyle bir çok değişime uğramıştır. Rönesans'tan itibaren bilimsel bilginin önem kazanmasıyla birlikte anatomi araştırmaları sanata da yansımış, mimaride kullanılmaya başlanan perspektif ilkeleri resim sanatındaki mekan algısını bütünüyle değiştirmiştir. Fotoğrafın icadıyla birlikte elde edilen mekanik görüntüler fiziksel gerçekliğin betimlenmesine dair yeni sorunsalları ortaya koyarken, sanatçı için araştırılması gereken farklı bir alanı da yaratmıştır. Bilim ve teknolojinin sunduğu olanaklar günümüz sanatında figür ve mekan sorunsalının çeşitli açılardan ele alınmasını sağlamıştır. Natüralist resim sanatının geçirdiği gelişim süreci üzerine temellenen Fotogerçekçi sanat, teknolojinin yarattığı gerçekliği kendi gerçekliğine dönüştürme çabaları ile postmodern sürecin sanat alanında en dikkat çeken akımlarından biri olmuştur. Figür ve mekanın ilişkisel birlikteliğini kamera objektifinden yansıyan gerçeklikle sunarak algısal değerlerin farklılığını ortaya koyan fotogerçekçi sanatçılar, aynı zamanda izleyiciyi gerçeklikle olan bağını tekrar sorgulamaya davet etmektedir.

Humankind, who has been in a perpetual relationship with place since its existence, stand for formation which on one hand subject shaping place; on the other hand as object transformated by place. Figure and place, which can be defined as the inseparable parts of a whole within the frame of art, are representatively handled in terms of space and depth principles. Place containing figure, is shaped in figure's existential constitution at the same time.For humankind, who is in pursuit of new ways to reach reality, representatives of figure and place in art have undergone a remarkable amount of change in historical process and this case has been made visible through psychological and socio-cultural factors that humankind is within. Art movements reflecting this evolutional continuum, have contained perpetual differences within itself through facilities that science and technology provide and they have dealt with this figure and place problem from various perspectives ranging from earlier ages till recent sense of art. With the discovery of linear perspective, drawing art revealing perpetual differences of spacial values, along with humanism has benefited from scientific data to have an understanding of anatomic structure. As a result of that, artists who have been in pursuit of reaching reality are provided a more objective way in their quest. While mechanic images emerging along with the invention of photography bring along with some problems in description of physical reality, they have also provide a new field to be researched for the artists.!Photorealistic art constituted upon this developmental process in drawing, has become one of the most prominent rebellion of postmodern period, with its attempts to convert the reality that information technology creates to its own reality. Photorealistic artists, revealing the distinctness of perceptual values by presenting figure and place relationship through their lenses' reflection of reality, direct the audience to question their connection with reality at the same time.
