Batı Avrupa bilimine ontolojik temelleri ve Avrupa merkezci ideolojik içerimleri ekseninde heideggeryen bir yaklaşım

Abstract

Bilim, insanî-toplumsal dünyada kültürel olarak inşa edilen bir bilme biçimidir. Bilim adıyla adlandırılan bilme biçimi, sanat, felsefe ve din gibi alternatiflerinden farklılaştırılır iken, ön plana genel olarak kesinlik, nesnellik ve evrensellik benzeri ayırt edici karakteristikler çıkarılır. Bu çalışma, kökleri itibarıyla on altıncı yüzyıldaki Modernlik şafağına, ‘işlenmesi’ yönüyle ise Aydınlanma felsefesi ile akabindeki on dokuzuncu yüzyıl entelektüel akımlarına kadar geriye götürülebilen “Batı Avrupa bilimi”nin; mevcut yapı ve işlerliğine yönelik bir eleştiridir. Eleştiri çerçevesinde Batı Avrupa bilimi kavramı kullanılmaktadır. Kavramlaştırma Heidegger’e aittir. İnsan ve toplum bilimleri aksları üzerinden de tezahür eden söz konusu bilim, Batı (kültürel bağlamda Avrupa) felsefesine yaslandığı gibi ayrıca Batının üstünlüğünü gözeten siyasal içerimleri de haizdir. Dolayısıyla onun ayırt edici karakteristikleri gerçekte doğa bilimlerinin imitasyonu yoluyla sahip olunmak istenen vasıflardan ziyade Avrupa merkezcilik ideolojisine aittir. Avrupa merkezci ideolojik artalan, Batı Avrupa biliminin eleştirisini zorunlu kılmaktadır. Nitekim bu makalenin amacı da söz konusu eleştirilere kendi ölçeğinde bir katkı sağlamaktır.

Science is a way of knowledge acquisition culturally formed in the social world. When this form of knowledge inquiry named science is differentiated from its alternatives as such art, philosophy and religion, the distinct characteristics like certainty, objectivity and universality are brought in the foreground. This study is a criticism toward the current structure and operationalisation of West European Science that could be taken back to the dawn of Modernism in the sixteen century in terms of its roots and Enlightenment Philosophy with the subsequent nineteen century intellectual movements in terms of its motivations. The concept of West European Science has been used in the criticism’s framework. This conceptualization belongs to Heidegger. The mentioned science prospered over its Humanities and social sciences axels leans on western (referring to Europe in terms of the cultural context) philosophy and consists of the political insights concerning western dominance as well. Thus, its distinct characteristics essentially belong to Eurocentrism Ideology rather than the desired attributes identified through the imitation of the natural sciences. The background of Eurocentric ideology mandates the criticism of West European Science. Therefore, the objective of this study is to provide a contribution to the mentioned criticisms within its framework and from the Heideggerian perspective.
